In vitro Fertilization (IVF)

This procedure involves retrieving and inseminating gametes outside the body. In classical or conventional IVF, spermatozoa sample is prepared and co-incubated with Cumulus Oocyte Complexes (COC) for 18 to 20 hours. After that and on day one, fertilization is checked. After embryogenesis has taken place (from Day 2 and throughout Day 6) embryos can be replaced or transferred back to the uterus by mean of a special catheterization method.
